What is AmazoN Music?
Amazon Music is a growing music subscription service that provides Prime Members with 100 million songs, completely ad-free. It offers users access to different podcasts, hit music, trending playlists, and even songs curated just for them. Amazon Music is the World’s fourth most popular streaming service following behind Spotify, Tencent Music, and Apple Music.
Project Objective
The objective of this project is to create multiple deliverables for Amazon Music’s various playlists. With hundreds of different assets needing to be created and a short turnaround time, it was all hands on deck as my team and I had to localize various designs into layouts made for desktop, mobile, and banners.
Role
Originally on the Non-Music side of the Amazon account, I had to quickly adapt in order to assist with this project so that I could deliver high quality design at a timely manner. Since there was a team of people splitting up the assets, my role was to handle categories such as Rock Scene, Hot In Japan, Neon Stars, The Sound of Modern House and Sonido Cumbia. In order to do this, I had to navigate through existing PSD files containing a 1050x1050 asset of each playlist and adapting them to fit within 2400x2400, 2000x500, 1440x810, 758x608, 3000x1200, 1236x1080 and 1080x1920 dimensions. It was also important to stay within safety zones and below the given max. file size while maintaining the quality. With only three days to execute this, I had to work closely with the Art Director in charge to make sure everything is where it needs to be before going to the client.
